:popcorn2:I thought 68 and 69 was the same part. What makes them different?

i was told they were for a 68/69, and thats the way i placed the ad... then 1970roadrunner said they were for a 69- and i amended the text of the ad...

i honestly don't know what year they are from, nor why i even bought the piece, as i never had a 68/69... or any year charger (had 2 daytona's)-

68 actuators have a 28 part #, 69's a 29 #. 68's have a magnet in them to hold open when needed, the "s" shaped metal piece mounted on the brackets serves same purpose as 68 magnet in 69.

where is the part # located?? - i can't find it ... thanks

Just the items I mentioned show they are 69. The 69 part # on the actuators is on the btms.

I have these out of my 68 for painting. I don't see a magnet. Something for me to look into. When I got mine, they were help open with zip ties.

Magnets are on the inside of each actuator. No threaded hole for the 10/4, 5/16th bolt on top of each actuator on a 6 bracket.
