I've got a pretty decent, complete console with the wiring harness and an end plate that has a lighter which looks like it was never used with the courtesy light option. The end plate has some pitting and needs a good cleaning and the only part that appears to be broken is the top passenger ear on the clear lens. The console also has a small crack running from the very back up towards the front, in the middle, about 3 inches or so(they make a solution+powder product that will cure this problem in 24 hours and I'll send you the Youtube link for) I'm asking $1,000+shipping or I'll trade even up for an original pistol grip shifter(non console version) with the shift box in very good/excellent condition. Located in Fitzgerald, Ga 31750. I also have a very nice chrome automatic shifter with the shift assembly and linkage arm that I'd like to get $225 for +shipping. This was all going to be installed in a 1968 Coronet 440 but decided to go another route and I'm looking to help ease the funding for a complete 440RB rebuild and having to get a complete 4-speed transmission setup with pedals. It will be First Come First Serve going by the timestamps in my inbox. I've also got quite a few other parts that will be hitting the site when I get them sorted out. Thanks.

FYI ....if it has the seat belt clips on the rear,of the console it is c body console......also no woodgrain on plates equals c body

Anything possible....most c bodies I have seen.... have seat belt clips and no woodgrain......don't know on the lighter that's a new one to me !!!

Can we get a close-up picture of the top rear section - between the seat belt clips.....looks cracked to me.

ah, was under the impression that the r/t models had the woodgrain and the others were chrome. was just going by what was found online while searching "1968 coronet console" so not trying to put out any disinfo or anything like that.

it does, was stated in op, about a 3 inch or so crack in rear (last 2 pics in this post)

As for the lighter in the rear end plate with the map light option, it was apparently only available in Chryslers in '66 and only as part of the light group option/upgrade. This is what "the other site" which I only found while trying to look that end plate up said. Some guys have said they've only seen 1 or 2, that they were quite rare, and someone on there was selling the one they had for $50+shipping just for the end plate.

I have a 67 Newport console with the cigarette lighter, and had a 68 300 with lighter. Canada. Both factory original.

I believe the thing people are saying is rare is the map light that's built in on the backside, under the lighter.

Well I'm not trying to gouge anyone's eyes out on prices and I'm negotiable at reasonable offers but when I'm seeing just the top trim plates of consoles going for $300+ everywhere else with other consoles missing quite a bit of chrome and the lower trim pieces missing while the one I have is complete, with the trim, lights, and even wiring harness, with that rare courtesy light end plate, while being told at best I could only expect $350-$400 for the whole package, I have to be suspicious about motives behind that pricing. I'm also not looking to get my own head cut off. As far as the title or renaming/editing this posting, I would appreciate the best advice from a mod or whomever. I try my best to be respectful in someone else's house. Included are two links to used consoles from ebay so the reasoning behind my thinking can be seen.
