Okay so some of you who know I started the same thread on what Moparts but, let's hear from you guys. Which car is better and and what are the pros and cons of both. It seems to be half and half over at Moparts. Some say the 71-72s drive better and some say the 68-70s look the best and drive equally.
For myself I like both and we have a 68 Coronet 440 with a mild 318 and PST suspension that includes the bigger sway bars and a rear sway bar. KYB shocks. The car has no powers steering or brakes and it has 4 wheel drums.
I am kind of have a desire to own a 71 B-Body. I wish I would have bought a 71 GTX clone a few years ago with a 440 and it was nicer car.
Anyways, I like the body style of the 71-72 Plymouths and Chargers the best and then the 68 model cars unless it is a Charger. The 68 Charger is the best looking 68 model IMO.

It seems that people mostly like the 60 to 70 body styles...When you first think of a mopar it,s usually a roadrunner or a charger..I agree with you on the 68 charger...After being on this forum for a while the early cars are starting to impress me...Early Darts and furys are pretty damn cool...I really don,t care for the 71,72 body styles...As afr as which drives the beat i have not driven them all...The 68 charger drives alot like my 67 gTx..I do know that...We all have our likes and dislikes..I,m happy with what I got..

Having sold them new from 68--74 I can tell you that in the Dodge line up for me personally I was disappointed with the appearance of the B body from 70-up. The back end is fine but the front end of the 70 Coronet leaves me cold. It was as though they were making a poor attempt at mimicing the GTOs. 71 up got worse for me on a personal level. I saw no difference in the ride or handling from 71-up but they DID get quieter on the inside with more insulation and better sealing on the door and windows for wind noise.

The Plymouth 1970-up B bodies are MUCH better looking in my opinion.

appearance-wise i like 68-70 b bodys all around, im getting a feeling for the look of the early to mid 60's plymouths, like the max wedge belvederes, oh my those are awesome, but if i chose a 71-72 i like the 71 charger super bee, this is all judged on looks, my car cant drive yet, haha

68 to 72 all drive and ride the same because under the sheet metal they are the same. And there very easy to work on. The 73,74's are the best cars over all so far as ride, noise and handling go. With the new for 73 front end the engine was also set back almost 3". That all but cured the bad under steer of the 68 to 72 models. It also made the car hook better. For me the 69 and 73 two door B body's made. And the 69 and 73 Charges are the best looking cars ever made. jmho
