Matt,

Thanks for the reply. The issue with a used tank is getting it replated. Very expensive and they have to drill holes in the top and reweld. Plus the finish is not like the original. Although, nos due to poor storage can be the same problem.

If your tank is not pitted, dented, or rusted in side I may be Interested. Easy way to tell a factory original from a repro. The weld seam on the two half's cross each other and the seam is about 1/4 wide. The quarantine tanks are close but the seam is narrow and the crimps are a different angle.

Send me a pic of a corner with the weld seam if you don't mind.

Thought there was a difference in the number of vent nipples 69-70 or just Dodge?

I think the difference was a Stick or automatic with a vapor separator. I have some pictures for you. The tank has been off the car for two years now and has been sealed. Still has the sending unit and cap on it. My only problem is I have no clue how to ship something like this. I'm in Buffalo, NY.

Plymouth tanks are different in venting than dodge for both CA and non CA emissions.....

My add is for a Plymouth Non CA emissions.......

Funny, I can't find a Plymouth for anything but I know where there are 3 nos dodge tanks.....

This is off a 1968 Plymouth GTX convertible 440. It has two vent lines, one to the trunk vent and one to the vapor separator located behind the alternator. this car was bought in Buffalo, NY.

Vapor separators were a stock item for performance big blocks, they also served as a filter......transmission made no difference....

Matt

Thanks for the pics but my dilemma is I need one that when cleaned up/restored it would be perfect. That is an original OEM 69-70 Plymouth tank non CA emissions. My build every part has to be assembly line original in appearance and finish. So no pitting, dents, scratches etc.. The rust around the sending unit would be an issue but underneath the pad is no worries. Thanks for taking the time to send those.
