My Charger just has the R/T emblem. It's a stick on and I believe it's actually from a late model car, not correct for a 68. I want to replace it with the correct Charger R/T emblems. Are the correct ones stick on or did they have pins that went through the tail panel? Also need verification that the R/T that's there is the wrong style.

This is the grille emblem. Should the tail panel emblem be the same, ie. no red in the center of the /.

None of the 68-70 chargers had stick on emblems, they were attached with self threading caps or screws for front head lite door. That one is no where near to what they should look like n the placement on that one is for a 69 R/T.When you do a search you will find two different numbers for 68 n 69 but i think they are both the same just the pins in different locations.

Check Richard Cranium thread off to the body shop for paint,he shows some pics to give you an idea

Here is a pic of the correct insignia and placement. Year One has them both. They both have mounting pins

So on the 69 it did not say Charger on the tail panel? Just R/T?

Sixpacktogo, can you measure the length of that Charger emblem please? I have two different ones here, not sure which is right. Also the length of the C pillar emblems.

They are all different from each other except for the sail panel emblems. Sail panel emblem measures 7.75" long.
The tail panel emblem is smaller and shorter. Measures just over 6" long.
Year One shows them all having a different number as well. A 68 Charger R/T uses their pn: VC132 for the Charger script and VC12344 for the R/T script. The sail panels have pn FD717 on each side. The Grille has pn VC120

Thanks Sixpack, that's awesome. I have those in my parts stash and they look new. Whoever restored my car before I bought it not only did the tail panel wrong but also never put the emblems on the sail panel. At least I have them but I do need the R/T emblem.

I found this at Summit. What goes on the pins to hold it on?

Oh, and the YO number is VC2346. VC 12344 doesn't come up.

I think my scripts all came with the pal style thread cutting nuts.
