I have a 68 non Rt 383 HP. Just painted her. Year One has the vinyl cutout decals for the hood turnsignals. they have flat black or a glossier black. Does anyone know for sure the black that is correct? Also, need to paint the back taillight pan. I know it's not gloss, but it's not flat I believe. Any knowledgable help is appreciated. Thanks

The tail panel should be painted with Organisol. My Charger is black, so I didn't need the hood turn signal blackout. If my car was another color, I would choose the matte black though.

Wrong, on 68's, the tail panel was a satin black and a rattle can will do. Organisol was in 1969. The decals for the hood signal cutouts would be gloss, which in reality is a semi-gloss.

Nice looking 68, how about some more pictures?

Good thing we got you around here to get the facts correct RC lol. Didn't realize there was a difference in tail panel paint between the 2 years, but now I do .

Admitting is the first step to recovery, but I am now seriously disillusioned. :(
