Hi, I have a 68 coronet with a column shift that I'm planning on putting in a floor console. My problem is that I'm not sure were to weld the brakets for the console and were to put the hole for the linkage for the shifter. I have an idea of were to put it but just wanted some more info if anyone has any, that would be great! Thanks

There are some features in the floor hump where the shift rod goes through. Look for a round flat towards the driver side with a dimple in the middle surrounded by three equally spaced smaller dimples. With the rod properly located in the tranny bracket and passing straight through the floor, from there you can get a good idea where to attach the shifter bracket then the console brackets. You'll see once you start fiddling with the stuff.

If you need the shifter or linkage i have it PM me

I'm looking at putting in a floor hump as the previous owner has hacked out a random hole to mount a B&M ratchet floor shifter to. Can anyone help with where it shoulc be placed?

I haven't pulled up the carpet yet to look, still waiting on the hump to arrive.
