68 coronet winshield trim clips WTF !!

ok, I removed all the trim and glass from my car. ordered front and rear trim clip sets from classis industries. was comparing the front clips today and they don't look right. the factory lower clips are long and skinny, the replacement are wider and not as long. will these still work ? I would post a comparison pic but wont let me add the pictures, sorry !

If I remember correctly, the lower windshield clips are different than the sides and top.

Yes they are different. The problem is the replacement lower clips aren't even close to the same as the factory ones. The new ones are much shorter.

I've had similar problem with parts from Classic - some of their stuff is not the best. I used clips from Mega Parts on my Charger and had no problems.

I'll check them out. After I found the clips didn't match up I searched a few more parts stores, even AMD and they all showed the same clips I received from classic.

Just found the correct clips on mega parts, thanks a bunch hunt2elk !!! Apparently some 68 B-body used the same clips as 66-67 B-body, those are the ones that I need. Giving classic a call first thing tomorrow and returning what I got from them. Ordering the front a rear clip sets from mega parts, they are half as much as classic ! Maybe classic can update their info so nobody else has to find out the hard way ....
