68 gtx dash

hi all.
feel like i am asking a dumb question,but can someone tell me how the long chrome trim molding installs on the 68 gtx dash.it looks like it has to install before the gauge cluster goes in but if i try that then the 2 upper gauge cluster mounting holes get buried behind the trim?? also the left and right side woodgrain trim seems like it wants to install before the cluster as well ? is that correct?

That trim goes on last, after the cluster and the woodgrain radio face trim and above glove box.
it has short screws that go straight up.

Ok,but once the cluster is in the trim wants to ride over the cluster and the holes to mount the trim wind up behind the cluster

GTX doesn't use a cluster bezel like a road runner does.
