68 Hemi Charger R/T XS29J8B375868, 4-speed, Dana. I bought this as a complete project in 2004. It had been sitting outside for many years, first in a junk yard in southern California where it was sold new, and then later in Denver Co. I built a custom 528 stroker motor with the best parts I could buy, Manley rods, CP pistons, $2400 worth of Ray Barton cylinder head work, Dick Landy stainless roller rockers and Landy modified original intake with 750 cfm Carters, Jamie Passon slick shifted 18 spline trans with custom 3:73 ratio Dana 60 rear. With the exception of the headers, SW mechanical tach and vintage Cragar mags the car looks pretty original. Car was rotisserie restored by me. Every nut and bolt was cleaned, detailed etc....This car was restored to show what these cars looked like within a year of leaving the dealer. Nobody kept the dog bowl hubcaps and exhaust manifolds. Sorry if that bursts your bubble. Car even has vintage Dick Landy Performance Car Clinic decals in the vent windows. A true vintage Hemi time machine with 21st century Hemi performance. I would like to trade for a cool 4 speed b-body of equal or less value with a little cash thrown in to make up the difference. This could be your chance to get into a real J-code hemi Charger for an affordable price. Will sell outright for $65,000.
