68 k member in my 62 Dart.

Has anybody here done this swap & kept the 62-64 push button transmission?

Will it even fit?
The 60-62 Darts were not considered A body cars, right? Were they the first run of B bodies? If so, no chance it will fit without some serious modification.
The 63-66 Dart and Valiants used a K member unique to the chassis. The 1967-76 model A bodies had identical frame rail dimensions so any car within that range can accommodate any K member from that era. Outside of that, nothing else fits. Push button transmission fitment has nothing to do with the K member.

Your title and your question don't match? Guys have said they used 66 k members in 62 to 65 cars to move engine back an inch or so. Don't see why you can't use a push button trans but you need ALL the gear cables buttons etc.from donor car.

you will need to modify the trans mount as well , the early tranny has a different location on the tail stock 65 back and 66 up .

As Fran Blacker stated the engine and trans will sit a bit further back, which can affect a lot of things, such as header clearance, driveshaft length, trans mount etc. It is all doable, but does require some thought. You could also move the engine mounts on the k frame to make everythig the same as it was.

Yes the cross member has been modified, but it needs help.
I was just wondering if anyone had done the same swap.

Yes on the '62s being the first "B" body.

I've heard that the newer k frames will move things back. No expert on this swap.

Why not find what originally goes in the car and all will be right.

i inquired about those issues when i was placing a 69 b k member under my 63 fury , it places the engine higher and future back , can get really close to the firewall , headers can go the trade , it just places them higher and right there on the firewall at least chassi headers , my one 63 sfgc mw car uses a motor plate , now that lifts it and pulls to way back , my mw intake near touches the firewall . headers are no issue one tube around the frame . but the plate puts the engine hugging the passenger inner fender well , plug are a job . you can see the air cleaners are off set a bit .

Hey, Is English your first or second language ? It seems like you are either confused with how to phrase your question or are very new to these cars and what stuff interchanges.
You realize the K member means the engine crossmember? No A body K member will fit a B body car no matter what year.
Also....A 383 has no brakes, drum nor disc.
Plenty of helpful people here BUT you need to ask questions in a way that makes sense.

be kind k dog . he's asking nicely , lol . but the tail stock seems to have issues , is your park cable pulled to the point of effecting the mounting of it on the tail stock , or is the flange on the rear of your trans cracking . if you used a 68 k frame and modified your trans mount , did you shorten your drive line as well ? it could be to long and not able to stay out of length bind up between the trans and rear end yoke . i did a duster for a bud that had to long of a driveline , it caused all kinds of trans issues , from the tail stock forward it had tobe rebuilt .

Everything moves back 1 5/8" from OE '62 B body location. You will need to fabricate the rear mount. Guys I've talked to use a simple L shaped piece of metal welded to original crossmember. Not difficult once everything is in place and rearward relocation is great for weight transfer.

When members post a topic without spelling it all out, they are hurting themselves more than anyone.

Check you pinion angle relative to the drive shaft. It should be 3-5 degrees down. Had the same problem with our '63 until we added wedges under the axle perch to correct the angle.

The OP asks about a '62 Dart which all Mopar people know is a B-body, you answered with a pedantic rant about A-bodies. So, who is the one spouting gibberish?
