This is a real original big block RM21H8A 68 Road Runner.
What you see is what you get, a rough but restoreable core car to use as a foundation to build something amazing out of. Restore it original, build a Hemi clone or put together a killer Road Runner hot rod. It was originally a 383 4 bbl bench seat column shift automatic car from here in VA that sat in a field for a long time. It was originally lite blue metallic, white interior, a blacked out Road Runner hood, has 4 wheel drum brakes and an 8 3/4 SG with 3.23 gears. This was a nice car when it was new.
Most of the original sheetmetal is in pretty good shape. Underneath the car is surprisingly nice-the framerails and subframes are very solid and should not require any further work, even the floorboards look OK except for a hole near the gas pedal and a poorly patched section on the passenger side under the backseat. The doors are useable but need some attention on a couple of holes under the sill. Around the back window needs some work. The fenders are both very nice and I believe only one has a hole on the dog leg. The engine bay and cowl are very good, just one hole near the battery tray and near the heater core. The bumpers are good and the grille and rear taillight panel are exceptionally nice. Sometime along the way someone started cutting it up to be a pro street or race car so it needs quarters and a trunk floor. The trunk lid is trashed and the gas tank is missing. I do not have the seats.
It is a factory 383 car but now has a non-running 73 440. It also has a 727 that might be original transmission but I dont know.
Let me reiterate that this is a core car that needs a lot of work. Dont come back to me complaining that its missing an ashtray.
I have a good VA title in my name and the fender tag.
I will deliver to a reasonable distance from 23072 (100 miles give or take) for $1/mile. No international bids will be accepted, please be from the US or Canada.
$2500 but cash talks.
