68 Roadrunner Engine Call Outs

Has anyone got any tips on refinishing the engine call outs on the hood? Sprayed mine flat black then got out the white paint and a brush last night and decided it was crazy to try and paint the 383 as they are just not raised enough to do a neat job. Does anyone make a stencil or even a decal that would work? Thanks...Geoff

Masking tape and exacto knife works

The raised part is left as anodized aluminum (not painted) so I'd agree the tape trick is your best bet. Another possibility would be to paint the raised part with a thin coat of grease or wax then wipe it off after the paint dries.
