Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a replacement set of seat belts for my '68 Coronet 500. My original set is horrible shape and my car only came with lap belts originally. I want to upgrade to the late '68, '69 model year belts and I have some questions.

Are the belts the same for both years? What about bench vs. bucket seats?

Can somebody post of pic of the belt clips on the headliner?

Has anybody purchased the reproduction seat belt sets? They appear to be correct from the pictures...

I've been looking at original sets for sale on eBay but nothing matches what is the car now. I've attached a pic, all four of my belts have this little chrome bit in the middle... I haven't seen any other belts like this.

Any thoughts?

I'm out tonight, but if no one chimes in in the mean time, I can take some shots of the brand new seat belts I brought from Year One. Most likely they are "mostly" correct, but as long as they work I'm happy as I'm not going show resto.

There's a guy on MoParts named Bill Edwards that sells restored seatbelts. I bought a set from him and couldn't be happier! I'm sure he can help you out...

Better late then never!

First is rear lap lash. Second is the front bench seat belts. Sold as 68 coronet belts from year one.

Hope that helps.
