68gtx 440 to 727 trans kickdown, i think i need one!

on my 440 gtx, the kickdown i got is one solid rod, bought it off a guy on ebay who said it came out of a gtx, from what i have found it looks like the correcto ne should have a swivel, or be like a two peice, is this correct? if so does anyone have a setup they would be willing to part with?

The solid rod style will not work correctly on your car as it will hit the fire wall. What you need is the 3 rod set up, or could go with the after market cable set up if you just want something that will work.

I never could get the right rod for my 68 GTX and went to a cable.

with all the after market vendors, making this kick down linkage is a simple item, why hasnt a machine shop done so, and the cables just dont look right, ie LOKNAR (sp)

Hi have you found what you need? Does your trans have the stud about halfway up the bellhousing for a swivel? Or the bracket that mounts to the intake with the swivel point? I have a couple of sets that may work for you. P M me a cell phone number and I will get you pics of what I have Thanks.
