Hey guy's I finally ordered my last shipment of AMD sheetmetal for my 69 Charger (fenders, tail panel, quarters, drop offs, outer wheel houses, front and rear splash shields, front pans, and the A/T floor shift brackets) my car was a column shift car and since I am building a General Lee I bought a floor shift column, console and shifter, now my car has the brackets on the hump for the buddy seat which I am going to remove what I need to know is where exactly does the new 3 piece AMD floor shift brackets weld in at? If someone has a car that has the interior out of and could get me some measurements and pics I would greatly appreciate it!!

I've got a floor pan section with all the brackets that I will get you some pictures and measurements tomorrow.

I just bought this floor section. The first bracket is 4 inches back from the floor/firewall seam. The best bet is to attach the brackets to the console and get everything aligned for proper location. Some rough measurements.

The first bracket measures about 2 1/4" from the centerline of the floor to the right side of the bracket.

The second bracket is 10 1/4 inches back from the floor/firewall seam and the tabs on front and back appear to be right on the hump centerline

The rear bracket measures 36 1/2 inches back from the floor/firewall seam and the side of the bracket is 1 3/4 inches from the floor centerline to the right side of the bracket

I hope that is descriptive enough. I can sketch it up if you need.

Cool, that will get it! I was planning on doing like you said and bolt the console to the brackets to tack them to the floor and then remove to fully weld them on and the firewall seam to the front bracket is what I was needing as I don't want it too far forward or too far back!! Thanks a ton!!

You can't see it from the angle of the picture, but the rear drivers side bucket seat floor reinforcement bracket gets welded in place first and the rear console bracket lands on top of it.

Ok, yeah my 69 Charger had buckets with a jump seat so I already have those re-inforcement brackets welded on the floor so that will help to locate the bracket then! I still need to cut off the jump seat brackets and then when my big AMD sheetmetal shipment arrives I can get to it!!! Thanks again, Dave
