69 gtx differences

I have a 69 gtx E85 car. RS23L9- VIn

Check out the link below. What is the difference between the RS23L9- (440 -4) and the RS23L9- (automatic)
My car had all the body trim as well as power windows and center console. Obviously there is a difference in how many were made. If anyone could shed some light on the subject that would be great. Is one more desireable than the other? I also have the fender tag decoded if that helps things.

It just means that the 69 440 4BBL GTX whether 4 speed or automatic had the same starting VIN numbers. 4004 were 4 speed and 9862 were automatic for a total of 13,866.
