69 rr 4-speed shifter question

I have a 69 rr 4-speed shifter with a 8-ball on it..did these come ariginal with a 8 ball ?

As far as I know all 69 RR's came with the wood ball.
 
wood normally, Hurst t-handle if you like the feel for the road and Day 2 restorations, or the ceramic ball sometimes found in the many option cars and coronets.
 
this is what my 69 RR has.

4-speed cars had the white ceramic ball w/the shift pattern. auto on the floor had the woodgrain ball w/black button on top.
 
Woodgrain ball for all Hurst shifters from 1968-1969. Pistol grip from 1970 on. White ball is incorrect, and so is the 8 ball.
 
I dunno...

You guys would know better I guess but I thought wood or white ball with the shift pattern were the 2 OEM possibilities.

Makes sense, I have a Hurst shifter and a wood grain ball in a 69, as seen in the a previous post.
