Finishing up my trunk pan this month, moving on to replacing those rear window corners. Anybody got pics, suggestions, or just random thoughts on the subject. Id like to hear from some of you that have done this work.

I know when mine had the rusted lower window corners we bought repop lower corners from Sherman's
in Michigan and this was 6/7 years ago and they were only ones at the time that had them that we knew of.
I would think others that have the repop sheet metal now have them.

We just cut out the bad area and welded in the new corners and it turned out very good.

I haven't bought the new glass, were you using your glass for a test fit, mine was out?

Check my bottom sig link below. I just did them on my runner.
Hey Thanks your bird and mine look like they had the same rust issues, the pics will help me out quite a bit, just what I'm looking for. Im welding my trunk pan in over the weekend, gotta weld in some metal on the package tray. Hoping to move on to these corners very soon.

Hello,
Just finished welding in both lower window corners. I used the AMD pieces. Pieces were pretty perfect.
The bottom window mouldings fit perfectly to the corners. Was surprised at that. Will post pics tomorrow or the next day of the work I did.
I saved money buying through Summit using their 10% off discount code.

I used AMD replacement corners as well on my 69 GTX. They fit pretty good, mine needed the peak tweaked a little bit. I cut out and did one side side at a time to keep everything where it was. I think the new ones are well worth the money. Forgot what page, but I have pics as well in my build thread.

Thanks, Just did some trading for a rear glass so I should have it soon, my glass was out on this car when I got it. Does it use a rubber gasket or is glued in? My father n law is a retired auto body guy, I have not needed his help yet, but may have him come down and give his two cents worth on this part of the project.

69 rr uses no gasket.....its butyl rubber caulk...has to be a certain thickness and where it seats to the glass and frame you have to use a special black primer for proper adhesion. On the lower portion of the glass the factory originally used two rubber spacers about a foot or so inward from each side toward the center. They were about 1/4 thick.

Thank You, very helpful. So it was sitting on those pieces?

Yeap....If you want I can dig up some pics of them and where they were installed...I am currently doing a 69 X so it would be the same....just give me a day or so
