What's an "E" code engine in a Bee? Shouldn't it read "G" for the 383 4bbl?

Seems like a great project. No doubt she's tired, and not much on the option sheet, but complete (which is rare these days). You should've seen the numbers matching 68 RR 4 spd I picked up in Oct for $4k.... it was a jigsaw puzzle. I'm outta room and excuses to 'sell' to the wife , otherwise..... it would be a nice snag. Good to know Maryland can cough up a good project now and then! Someone needs to pocket this 'ole bee.

E63 is the code (corresponding to the build sheet) for the 335 horse, 383-4 HP Magnum as found on the data plate to this Bee.

VIN on the dash should have an H as the 5th digit, designating the same.

G as 5th digit in a 1969 VIN would be for 383-2 and not available on this vehicle (WM- Super Bee).

Thanks 69Beeper,
Just assumed they had the VIN sequentially stamped on the tag on the bottom line like my Bee's:
last line is
E63 D32 WM23 H9G 17xxxx

It's a lynch road car, 9a1xxxxxx, at the top of tag. Lynch road didn't seem to mark much of anything the way the other plants did. Btw, guy only has a bill of sale. No title

e63=383 4bbl in 69
its a lynch road car
the code layouts are a little differnt on thier fender tags

stripe delete with not much else

Thanks for the info guys, had read the Lynch Road tags were different but never seen one.

east coast rusty car,, needs everything add should say....

bench seat, column shift:jerk:

Certainly worth a look but thankfully it's too far for me to want to do anything about.
