I have about $15-16K in parts and the car, not counting labor I've put into the car, and trying to find the GF a cuda to surprise her. She loves 3rd Gen and likes both 1st and 2nd gen, so we're pretty open.
Originally a blue on blue car, 350/4spd, converting it to a 700r-4 with a butternut yellow paint. Engine compartment is ready to drop the engine/tranny in, body is about 80% ready to paint, interior is almost ready to bolt in, Vintage Air almost done. Message me for more info if you're interested. I can negotiate pretty freely and add or subtract parts to make everyone happy.
I don't have a lot of pics of the car, and just to make it look worse than it is, check out the ones on Photobucket. http://s697.photobucket.com/albums/vv339/buckneccid/?start=all
The absolute worst thing about the car is the rusted windshield frame, which will be the biggest expense. The rest of the birdcage is in good shape with no rust that I or a couple of "buyers" from the Corvette forum who checked it out could find. The only other big expenses would be the tires to go on the freshly powder coated wheels, a windshield to replace the one I broke removing it, the convertible top, and some of the weatherstripping. Almost everything else is there including new bumpers, but your taste may be different than mine and you will want new parts instead of what I felt were good quality driver parts.
Message me if interested for a phone number.
