I'm wondering if the k members for early 70s e bodies are the same as the 68-70 b body? Big block if that matters.

I've swapped them (70 b body to 72 e body big block) and had no issues but maybe I got lucky?

Well I'm trying to use an E body sway bar on my 68 K frame. The lower arms will be tabbed correctly for an E body, and I'm trying to make it work on the k member side.

IIRC 66-69 are the same and same SB and BB.

70 is different and one year only.

71/72- not sure.

Must be easier for you to buy a 1970 B-body K-frame, theres also a difference in the steeringboxangle between B-body and E-body 1971- B-body.

I had heard the same about the steering angle but mine had no issue. Don't take it as gospel tho. 45 plus years these cars I play with have many many changes in time

My 68 Hemi K-frame last sat in a 1972 Challenger whitout problem but there are a difference so why don't buy a 1970 from a B-body that fits perfectly.
