Picked up a sway bar for my 72 Charger at a swap meet a while back, getting ready to figure out how to install the silly thing, as my car didn't come with one. So, I don't see any obvious mounting points, hoping someone with a similar body style can take pics of where they mount to the control arm and the k-member.
Thanks
Rich

If your Lower Control Arm doesn't have the mounting tabs you'll need the appropriate tabs or fab up and weld some on. I can get pics of the K-Member mounting when I get home.

This is what you're looking for. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-B-E-B...971|Model:Charger&hash=item1c420cdd81&vxp=mtr

It's possible these brackets could be welded on to your existing Lower Control Arms.

This was the setup I bought. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-70...2FLdKJYBUtPQX%2BMIhzs%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc The 2 rectangular brackets mount to the K-member and the U-shaped bracket mounts the bar to the rectangular brackets.

Thanks, yeah if you can get pics of it mounted on the k that would be great, I'll have to weld up my own brackets

Rich, what year sway bar car are you planning on putting on your 72?

I ask because 73 and up cars use front sway bars that actually attach to the strut bar and the bar actually goes through the Kframe

Here are pics of my 74 front swaybar and mounting from another post (73 and 75-79b and 80-81r bodies should be the same)

Perhaps I mis-read and the sway is is for 72 on your 72.... oh well lol

Could save yourself some time fabbing one up by using a tab Speedway has for race car suspensions. I saw a vendor at the CC Nats that had some that looked like they would work. I've heard that 70's Chevy Trucks will work which should be easy to find with donor tabs already there. I know I bolted one off a 72 1 ton on my 64 1/2 ton. It was like a 1 1/8 bar!
