Does anyone know where to find those factory installed seat belt retainers? they look like a black tie wrap with an end that fits in that hole on each side of your center console, years ago someone was selling them I cant remember of course. I don't have a picture. But that is what the hole is for on the console just below the seat belt receiver.

Ha, funny you mention that. I have been searching for those for quite some time. I even tried different strap manufacturers/suppliers and got some free samples. Nothing works properly as the original did.
Any one else have some ideas?

I would be interested to know as well, those have been missing on my car ever since I bought it. Same thing with the console lid retainer cable, I cant find one of those either.

as far I recall 74 didn't use them, because 74s got a hard cover to the female belt

My 73 RR female belt side are hard cover, maybe that is why I don't have them, but I recall back when I got the car they may have been there. Its not critical for me to locate a set.

Well, should be easy to check. If the console got the holes on sides, maybe got them? My console never did, althought I never have seem a Charger assembled down here with those straps, any year. Local seatbelts were just lap belts thought and didn't get the hard cover but still never have seen a local Charger with straps. However since I know local Chargers are diff deal that your Charger on several stuff, I have tried to detail every Charger on line ( since 16 years ago now ) the best as posible on every detail. That's how I take notes on differences.

My original 73 never had the lid cable but did have the straps, which naturally broke after I had the car a year. They weren't very sturdy.
If we could find someone who has one, even broken maybe we could get them reproduced. Stupidly I tossed mine. Duh!

I searched for those a couple of years back, most people didn't even know what I was speaking of. They at times show up on E bay just hit or miss.
