Need a little advice, I'm putting the front bumper back on tomorrow. Getting everything together aint rocket science, but from what I've learned there has gotta be a secret order of doing things to make it easier, lol. Kinda like the steering column, dash assembly, ect.....

Should I put the headlights in first, then slide the bumper over everything. Or put the bumper on and then the headlights. I'm sure its a tight fight putting the headlights in with bumper and grill already on. Or put everything on, and then the grill last??

Right now I've got the bumper brackets already installed on the bumper. I plan to hang it on the back two holes in the framerails, and then pivot it up into place. Will that work? C'mon guys, this whole assembly is a heavy mofo, and I might be doing this by myself.

I did mine as a assembly like you have. I did install the headlamps and wiring first. I installed the grille brackets and all supports on the bumper as they will hidden in the fenders once installed. I left the grilles off and installed them after. Like you mentioned I slid the brackets in over the valance, got the rear bolts started so I could raise the front and attach the outer fender mounts. At this point you can install the front bolts and make your adjustments. Big heavy unit but patience will get it in.

I set mine on some old tires to get it closer to the correct height, so I could avoid lifting and holding as much as possible.

Well the bumper is on and that technique worked, but you guys forgot to tell me to remove the previously installed outside manual hood latch lever, lol. If my garage had a swear jar I woulda spent 20 bucks. Took me probably 5 min before I figured out why I couldn't slide the bumper all the way up into position.

Sorry- all mine are inside hood release :(

...also, note that you have to at least loosen both sides, and slide out the bumper if you want to remove a fender.

Mine has the inside hood release too, sorry about that!
