So got my 71 Charger (non-A/C) on the road this spring and noticed the heater core was leaking, hence the poor condition of the floor pans. At the time I just bypassed the heater core. Now that it's Winter I'd like to have some heat. How hard is this going to be to replace? Any pictures, guides or tips?

Do I have to remove the whole heater box or can I just take off a panel and pull the heater core?

Thanks,

Patrick

I just did this on my 72 with is the same box. Pull the whole box, not that hard and put in new seals from DMT while your at it. I got a Spectra heater core which is very correct and fit like the original.

I second that. Did two of them last winter. Good time to recondition the heater box and the job is real straight forward for a non-a/c car.
