Getting to the point I need to start figuring out what to use for rear leaf springs. I don't want it sitting real high in the back, but also do not want it to look like the springs are just collapsed originals either. Should I go with XHD, SS or have the originals done to factory spec? I plan to run 15x7 or 15X8's in the back.

I am running super stocks with a 1 1/2 lowering block. Once it settles a bit more it should be perfect. If you don't run slide a links like me, you will be an inch lower already because you can use the higher front spring hole on the super stock hanger.

Any current pics of your car with the new 17" wheels? I saw a pic with the older wheels and there appears to be LOTS of room between the top of the tire and the quarter.

Here is what it looks like.

I am wanting something similar to this look....maybe just a bit higher...but not much. I like the tire to fill up the wheel openings!

Not yet. Maybe next week. My car should drop at least another 2". I have to loosen of the slide a link yet. It is not allowing the spring to relax. Once that is done it will come down more.
You can also pull one leaf from the pack. That helps as well.

That looks like a 28" tire on the back. Fills the hole better. Mine are just under 26" tall. Once everything has settled, I may need to pull a leaf too. Gonna let it sit over the winter. Probably be fine come next spring.

I figured the tires you had on currently were a "lower profile" tire. I thought at one time years ago I saw a thread on 71-74 wheel/tire size (and ride height) but could not find it in a quick search. I will try to look more this weekend if I have time.

Here is how it sits right now. Needs to come down for sure if I run these rims.

Quarter fender gap much more noticeable with the 17" on vs the 15" rim. A quick photoshop and here is roughly where I think it needs to sit. Opinions?

I want to see it with the stripe and the fender trim. Hope that will happen next week.
I wish they made a decent 45 or 50 series tire in 17".

Here is a profile view of the car. Once the stripe, wing, spoiler, louver and wheel opening moldings are on I think it will look quite sexy!

I would go with hemi springs from Espo. Had them on my Challenger and they gave a great rake. They were not 1" over or anything either, just their stock hemi springs. The biggest you could go on an ebody was 275/60/15s on the rear and 235/60/15s on the front with a stock wheel, but I think you can go a bit taller on the Bs. Why not email Gary and Pam? I'm sure they would tell you what size tires they are running. That car was in Mopar Action, I'll see if I can find the article. If you think it's too high after you get the springs in you can buy an adjustable rear shackle kit from Just Suspension and flip the front hangers to get a little drop.
