71 Satellite Headlight switch removal

This is probably simple for someone who has dome it, but not obvious to someone who has not. How do you get the plastic knob off the shaft? There is no set screw as on the wiper switch, and it seems too firmly attached to be a simple friction fit.
Getting the switch off by unscrewing the ferrule is simple after that.
Who has done this successfully?

There is a button on the side of the headlight switch that you have to push while pulling on the knob and the knob and shaft come out of the switch.

Don't worry man, I was in that exact position about a month and a half ago. Spent hours screwing with that damn thing until I started searching around the forums here for it. If you run into any other issues, there's a link to my thread where I was having headlight issues in my signature.
