72 Charger need a little underhood help

My son and I are trying to get his HVAC working, 72 Charger originally 318 with A/C....and need to replace the heater control cable that goes to the coolant valve under the hood. My question is where does this cable pass through the firewall?.. It was removed almost two years ago, we purchased a new one....jsut trying to figure where it passes through from inside to out.
Any help is much appreciated

I kinked mine at the slider control, so I'll be replacing it.

It may be a few days, but I'll try to post pics if you want.

IIRCm it goes through the firewall near the top of the brake booster, but a bit towards the pass side.

thats a big help.....I'll look for what I have for holes there
