OK Here is the story. In 1981 or so my brother and I come across this 72 Charger Rallye 440 4spd Dana. It winds up in the hands of someone who does not take the cool factor into account.
Fast forward to 1985 the car is pretty well stripped and up to the first $300.
Brother Mark is the lucky new owner and the car goes into storage (inside) for the next 17 years...
Mark passes away and leaves the Charger to me. Since then I have done a bit of research but have yet to get some reliable production numbers. I met a dude at a car show that had one and swore there were 117 made and 11 in the Chrysler Registry.
A google search yielded 2 other 4 speed 72 rallyes both original 340 cars and a handful of 440 auto's.
This one is a real U code 440 4 speed B5 blue blue interior Dana with factory rear sway bar. Still has the 150 speedo, shifter, xx stamped warranty exchange 72 440 forged crank.
I don't really know what I will do with the car. I had to move it outside to finish my 68 R/T 4 speed. Really just trying to nail down any info on it.
