72 satellite cuda question

Hi Im putting a big block in my 72 small block satellite. Will a 71 cuda big block K fram fit???

Your Satellite K frame will support a BB , with BB mounts. No need to swap in a K frame
Not sure that E body K frame will work.

The 71-72 B-Body V8 k-frames are the same for BB's and SB's like 72Satellite440 said, just add BB motor mounts to your existing k-frame and your set.

An E-Body k-frame is the same as a 71-72 B-Body k-frame. Actually 70-74 E-Body front suspensions and the entire front frame/inner fender sections are the same as 71-72 B-Bodies.

Thats a interesting fact I never knew...Bet because of the crazy E body prices people part out the 71-2 B just for that reason.

I know someone that has a 74 SB and had problems with exhaust clearence switching to a BB only changing motor mounts. Is that only going to happen with th 73 and 74???

yes.. SB and BB 73+ used a isolated engine mount which had the SB mounts placed in different positions than the BB mounts. he could have done two things to make it right:

1) put in a BB 73+ k frame
2) buy and emplace a schumacher swap engine mount kit
