This is a very good solid car to restore or clone into a Road Runner or a Richard Petty tribute car.
All of the inner sheet metal parts are rust free.
The hood, fire wall, front inner fender wells, floor pans, and rear lower valance panel under the back bumper are all rust free and perfect. The body is very good around the windows.
If you have been around any old Mopar cars for any length of time, you know these areas are very prone to rust. This car is an exception to the rule and is very solid.
It comes with a set of 14 inch Rally wheels.
The trunk floor is very solid and has 3 small holes on the driver side near the trunk extension, that can be covered by a dime. This would be an easy fix.
The bolt on parts have some rust, but should not be too hard to fix because factory style patch panels are available.
The original 318 runs very good. It has had a recent tune up and a newer remanufactured carb has been installed. The brakes need some work. The A/C system is complete and still has a little Freon in it. It is a bench seat car with Power Steering, Power Brakes, and an automatic.
The car will come with an extra Road Runner hood with "340" call outs, but it's rusty. The engine call out scoops are in great shape though. The doors have some dents and will require some work. The trunk lid has a dent on the driver side and can be seen in one picture. The driver side rear quarter panel has had a previous repair where someone welded a patch panel over damage. To properly fix this area a complete AMD quarter panel should be welded in. The roof area has been sand blasted and all surface rust removed. The car originally had a vinyl top. In these pictures the roof and driver side still has not been painted.
Also in these pictures the back bumper has not been installed. I have it and it is dent free, but needs re chroming. It looks as good as the front bumper that is pictured.
I have stripped the paint off the outside of the car to bare metal and removed all of the previous body filler. The car was then painted in a two part black epoxy primer to prevent any future rust, so any body work you start will have a great foundation to begin with. No body filler has been added back in the car. All blemishes will be easily visible. This car has nothing to hide.
Asking $3,499 or best reasonable offer. No trades, Cash only. I have a clear FL title registered in my name.
Local pickup only. May be able to deliver to the "Mopar's with Big Daddy" show for an extra fee. I also have a complete 440 engine and 727 automatic, that can be bought as well if your interested, but are not included at this price.
Additional photos can be requested.
I have too many projects. This one is for sale to help fund my Road Runner restoration. It will make someone a very good car.
