Hi guys,

I have a 65 Coronet now epuipped with a 440 + BB 727 cable shift tranny.
Not sure what year the tranny is, maybe someone can ID it?

I need to find out which converter, speedo cable, speedo gear and tranny mount fits.

Thanks!

Dan

Appears to be an early 1965 Chrysler, Dodge, or Plymouth 383/413/426W trans according to my reference material. I haven't got the slightest what "early" 65 means.

Does it have a slip yoke on the driveshaft? If so it is a 65, if not it is a earlier unit.

I have this same tranny it leaks tranny fluid everywhere I am still fighting that battle but, im sure it will get straightened out or its going to find a new home. I hate leaks.

Dan,

From my 10,000 calendar the number 1530 is the build date, Oct. 5, 1965. Jan. 1, 1965 started with number 1253.

I had a hell of a time trying to find a leak in my pushbutton 727 a few years ago. I could have sworn it was leaking around the pan gasket but I finally figured out that the neutral safety switch was leaking around the plastic insulator in the middle. Just another place to check.
