I'm reworking my wiring harness on a 1971 auto trans GTX and found that my trans connection had another wire that wasn't connected to anything.

Looks like from a wiring diagram that two of the 3 wires from the trans harness connect to the bulkhead connector. There is a third one that wasn't connected to anything, but it looks like the wiring diagram shows it connected to the ground on the starter solenoid. Can someone confirm that that is where the third wire goes?

OK - Thanks Propwash.

Now I know where that one from the trans goes, but as I un-taped the bulkhead side I found another that was not connected to anything ?

Looks like one of the bulkhead slots (they are both black with white stripes) has two wires coming from it. One goes to the trans and the other one is about 6 inches long and ends in a spade connection. I don't see that in the wiring diagram at all - except maybe it looks like it should be connected back to to the bulkhead in another slot? Any ideas where that goes?

Thanks
