Ok ... So you got some rust in the cowl...it's not the end of the world... Yet...

At least you know. Now you need to find out how much. Looks to be just starting...you'll need to pull the fenders and the trim at the base to know how far it goes. Middle looks pretty good.
There's hope.. Looks a lot better than mine when I started...
 
I have some parts for 71 thru 74. Send me a list of Items needed. I will even be willing to give you some items I may have If you pay shipping. Also too bad about the cowl, I junked a 340 car that had a good cowl.

Parts list will be a week or so work is getting nuts... I know off hand passenger door...
 
so I am not in the rusty cowl boat myself eh ... I saw a post somewhere a guy and his son replaced them with e body cowl panels which you can get new
