My son is working on his 74 charger brakes and is missing one lower caliper mounting bolt. Will a bolt from another disc brake car at the pull apart yard be the same? Is there a certain year that will fit? Thanks

You're talking about the caliper slide bolts? I don't see them listed separately on rockauto. Worst case buy a rebuilt caliper from them since they come with pins

I's it the long "pin" or another, more standard bolt?

Do you know the size?

A pic might help.

I've had good luck finding the large (often 1/2"), fine thread bolts in grade 8 at ACE hardware.

Someone on here might have an extra if it's the pin.

Yup, he is missing one of the slider bolts. Was wondering if one from any other older model with disc brakes would be the same size?

Just FYI

"Pin type" and "slider type" are different designs.

I was curious, rockauto does have them but they are not listed for 1974 Charger, they show 1970-72 Charger with those

I thought 73 was the first year of slider calipers???

F/M and J have true sliders where there are no pins and the caliper actually slides on the bracket.

My 73 has pins and so did my 74.
