G evening All, In 67-69 did Plymouth have 2 different size dog dish caps? I have seen 2 different opinions on size of dog dish caps. Is it just an ID / OD . Some say 9 some say 8 3/4? Tks experts!

1967 caps were 10" , and 1968 and newer were 9" . The pictured cap looks to be the 1968 9" " cap. A similar cap was available for 1967 Plymouth in 10" size. I have also seen a 10" turbine style cap for 1967 Belvederes.

Most people refer to the cap pictured and the rest of the later caps as 9 inch , when the actual measurement is 8 3/4 inches.

Not completely true, I think. (This ambiguous crap is why mopars are such fun).
I have 67 barracuda caps, which I took off of my 67 barracuda with 14x4 sbp wheels, and put them on 15x6 A12 fronts, and 15x8 ramcharger rears, both bbp.
Somewhere around the middle? of 67, centers changed? 66s are still the big caps, 68 up are small caps, 67, who knows?!? I ddon't.
Edit: my 67 barracuda caps are visually identical to what Red Cricket posted, but without a tape measure laying beside it? I couldn't tell if they are the same size or not.....

A-body different thn B-body though.

A bodies all used the 8 3/4.or 9 inch caps.
B bodies used 9 3/4 or 10 inch caps , depending upon the year.
