You just did and shame on you.
It's common knowledge who made the announcement the air was safe to breath around ground zero.
In the aftermath of the attacks our first responders were more interested in recovering bodies of the victims and maybe the remote possibility of a survivor(s). Its not only the fire/ police/ EMS, its the iron workers, utility and just about anyone else working there including my neighbor and friend who at this very moment is battling brain/lung and now cancer in his spine, all related to his constant exposer to toxins at ground zero.
In all of this, I've never heard the politics of blaming the administration who were in office at that time for these cancers.
This place at times makes me regret sending 40 miserable dollars to Joey to support this site. I cant even post a F-ing article without this bullshit
You're correct about many others being affected, so many volunteers that came to the aid of the horrific situation. Also many who resided and worked in the area. Even people down wind that day and days after were effected. The thought went through my mind as I watched that day, people running from the scene, clouds of dust and debris, covering their faces, covered in powder. I thought right away, what could be in what they were breathing. I don't remember hearing that the air was safe in that area. I saw volunteers wearing paper mask but they aren't always up to par for a lot of chemicals and hazardous particles.
Seems to me they are running out of funds to help the families and anyone who was involved. They have been asking for more money. This is where the political comment came out. There shouldn't be any delay in helping anyone who was involved then and is now being affected.
I remember donating after that day and there was a big controversy about where the donations were acually going. Actual scammers taking advantage of what took place. (Let those people burn in hell for eternity) Even The Red Cross was under investigation for funds being used wrongly, things that didn't pertain to 911 at all. I never remember hearing the outcome on any of this. It was a lot of money.
So apparently the government had started funding also. If they are useing up the funding, it definitely needs to be allocated. More victims are coming out every day as a result of 911 and they need the help if there isn't going to be moneys there, they need to get on the ball.
Your $40 is well spent and appreciated. Just remember that any subject can turn political, especially some of the ones you post. Don't take it personal. A subject such as this one does have underlying tones that are bound to surface. What a sad day that was. Many have already forgotten and that should never happen.
