So Ive looked around and from what Ive read I guess dodge used this shifter in A and B bodies. Is this correct? This is in a 68 charger rt and is a 1 owner car.

Depends on the production date. Early 68's got the inland shifter. I'm not sure of when the change occurred, but it looks great to me.
