FOR SALE A12 roadrunner hood value???????

Hi all,

I have an original A12 69 1/2" lift off road runner hood. Correct hood, full air box, and correct underside texture (rough). It is not perfect, needs a little glass work, particularly the center divider in the scoop itself and the upper scoop corners. I have owned this hood since the mid eighties; it was on a local 68 GTX which got totaled. I bought it off of the wreck and have never done anything with it.

I know someone who can perfectly restore the fiberglass issues and put a fresh gel coat finish on it, but I am hesitant to invest money into a part I am not going to use.

I will get some photos up soon; it is upstairs in my shop. I really wanted a rough idea what they sell for, as I have not followed the prices.

Hard to say without pics but somewhere around 1200 I would think

$1200.00 would be top money for a perfect original hood IMO. The more repair the less value. I had a real good one a while back that I sold to a friend who also sold it. It was overall good condition but needed the corners repaired from setting it off and on. It also had some stress cracks around the scoop. Nothing to major but still a lot of time and money to properly repair. He got $600.00 for it. You can look over on the A12 forums for some that have been for sale before. One thing they do make good repops so that will keep the price of originals down.

I'll give you my honest opinion. It's not worh anything, so just send it to me and your worries are over, lol!! I think between 1-1300 for it is a fair price.

You are right, hood free, shipping to you via donkey cart 1500.00! LOL

I would agree with Matt. You are probably in the $700.00 to $900.00 range according to your description.
