What is the time delay relay for in the hvac control harness? The 2 wires to it are tied into the ac compressor feed and the blower motor feed. I'm making a custom harness and wanted to delete this relay if I didn't need it. Thank you.

You can delete it. It is designed to turn the compressor on for a short period when heat or defrost is first turned on to reduce condensation. They are pretty simple so if it works I'd just leave it though.

If everything is working right, it's a nice feature, plus it keeps the shaft seal lubricated in the cooler weather. I'd keep it, but there's a bunch of "details" to it. If the clutch coil draws too much amps from age, the contacts can weld, and it will never shut off.
