Help!
Does anyone know where I can find an AC switch for a '72 Satellite?
I got the ac working in my Satellite at the end of last summer. We had a couple of good months of driving her this summer but a few weeks ago to make a long story and diagnosis short, the AC switch fried. I sent it off for a rebuild, but no joy. No parts available.

I think that a bad connection in the switch caused the wiring to the blower to overheat and cook the fuse block and finish off the switch. I haven't checked the blower motor yet, but it's Rock Auto new.

Any advice, sympathy, or spare parts, welcome.

i have one for parts you might be interested in
if you come up empty
they are not that hard to find if you hunt around.

the one i have worked good and was in good shape
when i removed it
i had it sold and when i dug it out to pack it
i noticed one of the small plastic vacum ports had been
broken off so i killed the deal...

since then i did discover there is someone rebuilding them
and he can fix a broken vacum port..
the name escapes me
it was a while ago..
i will dig and see if i can find who it is for you.

13 min digging thru my history and...
here it is :hello2:

Let me rebuild your 1962 - 1965 (or up to 1978) A, B, or C body ac/heat or heat only vacuum control switch.

Almost all the switches in our old cars have the vacuum ports broken off of them. I have machined a repair kit to fix this problem.

I will repair your switch and send it back to you for $35.00,(money order or cashiers check only) shipping included. You can't buy these switches from any vender. My part will make it work like new. Also, something new I've added to the switch fix is a repair that will fix the slides that have the socket broken off that the push buttons fit into. Price is $5.00 each. I can only offer this if you have the vacuum port repair done. The labor and cost of shipping would be too great otherwise. View vacuum control switch example

Another new product is the vacuum switch that bolts onto the blower motor switch on 1962 to 1965 AC cars. The cost to redo this switch is $35.00 shipping included. View blower motor vacuum control switch, Before View blower motor vacuum control switch, After
I also fix the temperature control switch for 1962-1965 air cars that is located on the plenum box behind the glove box. This temperature control switch is almost always broken. I can rebuild yours for $40.00. The replacement is made out of aluminum to last a lifetime. Send yours with money order or cashier's check. View temperature control switch. Shipping is included.

I can also install new wafer boards inside almost all switches from 1962 to 1965 (or up to 1972). The cost is 5.00 per board. Ac/heat has 4 boards, heat only has 3 boards. I am the only one who makes these boards.

Your switch could be rebuilt inside and out for a maximum of $70.00. Most switches don't need all the fixes. Contact: Anthony Powell, Dept. 62 to 65 Mopar, 1305 North Grant Drive, Sherman, TX 75092 Or e-mail aepowell3@verizon.net and tell Anthony you saw his ad here.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the contact info. I will check him out. How much do you want for yours? It never hurts to have spares!! Especially when everything is 40 years old.

I saw a a/c switch for sale on ebag last night before seeing your post. I've also seen them for sale from several vendors as well. Check out the sponsors page here and others on-line.

Hope it does the job for ya Sebring Plus
