Yes, I read the tagged post about where to put want or sale ads, but this is really about advice. I have a rear valance for a '71 Charger SE that is pretty dented up.

  • Sell it?
  • Give it away?
  • Trash?

See pictures and thanks for the knowledgeable advice as always.

Next, I will be asking about some door panels (I seem to have three sets).

If an admin says this needs to go to a different section, then I will gladly move it there.

A good body worker with some dollies and bumping hammers will get that nearly perfect. At least give someone a chance with it before tossing it.

Exactly what i would say.
It's not like it's completely rotten...which would take 4x as long to repair.

Same thought! Sell it or give it away, don't trash it!

Since you put trashing it in your poll, why not give it away to a fellow Mopar owner who could use it, far better than some I've seen, might even be better than the one on my car presently, both my front and rear are banged up pretty good, but I will drive it like is for now and repair mine when I have the time, parts are getting harder and more expensive for these Mopars everyday, not saying you, but I hate when some guys have more money than brains and can buy whatever brand new and throw away a decent used part because they think anything other than perfect is trash, rather than helping out fellow enthusiast who may be working on a budget. Put it the for sale section, offer it for the cost of postage, someone will take it off your hands.

Thanks for the advice! I want to get it out of my trunk, so up it goes on the sale section - Buyer only responsible for shipping cost. Thanks again!

That's the kind of Mopar motorhead we need more of!!!!!!!!! I had a guy give me a front valance trim piece for a 71 Charger 500 that I looked all over for and is rare as hell. He barely let me pay for the postage! Made a big difference in my attitude. I've had a Mopar for the last 8 years and met all kinds of good people. Had shivvies for 25 years and never had anybody GIVE me anything. Just sayin'. Pay it forward......

Whatever you do don't trash it! Put it up for sale or trade, store it but no, keep it around as one said with some body tools it can be made to use again!

For the record, I carted around a 73/4 front valance for about a year.

It was relatively straight except for a softball radius dent in one corner that had been repaired reasonably well with bondo.

It also had a front license plate bracket attached, that I couldn't get off, or I would have put that on ebay.

It started at $25, then $20, Then $15.

Finally an old guy expressed interest in the bracket, and I let him have it all for $10.

I told him $15 for the bracket, or $10 if he took the valance, too.

Rear Valence - Great Condition - Free if you pay postage

I also have a rear valence in very good condition. (I replaced it with a valence with tips (exhaust cutouts), so also have a box for mailing.) I would love this to go to a good home and would never consider trashing an original part. If you pay postage, I'll be more than glad to mail your way.
