Welcome mate, nice to have one of each. I'm interested in your thoughts on the 3 cars - which do you prefer to drive? Best handling? Etc. Thanks
Hi Mate, they are completely different machines.
This Duster is more a race car, it has SCS shifter, caltracs, no power steering, etc. Has a 360 engine (originally 340) Not really an original car to enjoy cruising around but it's very good fun to drive. Because it has those race features is quite difficult to compare to anything else. Once one gets used to it it's fine but again, very particular one. Unfortunately I have to sell it since (as you can see) I don't have space to keep it...
With that in mind I wanted to buy something else to enjoy a day cruising, going to further places, etc, and saw the Challenger. Almost twice the price I paid in the Duster but it's a car I always enjoy. And considering everything, it was a good price. The "downside" was a 318 engine hence the price. But I had many 318 in the past, nothing wrong with it, decided to check the car and really enjoyed it. Many things to be done but that's what I like. And rust, etc, I really don't care about. LOL. I want a reliable engine and a good interior, that's it. Anyway, on the day my wife took me to collect the car I made the mistake of handing her the keys and asked if she want to drive it. That was it, I lost the car on the day one. Only managed to drive it on the day after LOL. But I was really please that she enjoyed the cars that much so had to find something else and ended up with the GTX.
As my previous post, all original, too pristine in my opinion, but people love it.
Answering your question... I already mentioned the Duster... the Challenger is smooth, quiet. I just don't like how low the seat are, like a "sports car", but apart from the getting in/out it's all good, once inside is very comfy. I love the Challenger and can't stop staring at it when I park outside work. Really love the design, all the curves.
The GTX is very similar to the Duster, a "high" seat, good position and very comfy as well, very firm to handle. But since I don't have it for long, apart from the initial 200 miles driving it back home I didn't drive it much so still knowing the car. Considering seat position, the seat itself and my body I can say I feel very comfortable in the Duster. But maybe it's just because I have it for longer.
