Air Grabber Resto

I am in the process of restoring the Air Grabber duct work on my 69 RR. Its in good shape but needs some cosmetic refurbishing. Can anyone tell me what they have done to make them look new again. I wasn't sure if i should just paint it or what. If you do paint them what finish is used, flat? Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I guess I was lucky when I refurbished my 70 air grabber.
All I did was scrub it with mineral spirit's.
I found it was in excellent shape once I got all the gunk off
