Alternative to factory bucket seat tracks?

I acquired a set of bucket seat frames at Carlisle last week to replace the bench in my Coronet. The passenger side core came with a seat track but it's pretty crusty, not sure I want to deal with refurbishing it. The driver's side is a bare frame with no track. I know a set of factory seat tracks is the easiest method of mounting seats but as everyone knows, finding a decent, complete set is tough and expensive.

So has anyone used an aftermarket or alternative mounting system in lieu of the factory parts? I would like to retain a 'stock' type appearance but I'm OK with deviating if there's a better mousetrap. I've seen the Procar stuff, Corbeau etc. but I'm not sure these would work in my particular application. (factory buckets). I have used Super Stock seat brackets on other cars but I don't think that would look appropriate here and I want to retain the sliders.

In the mean time, try soaking the crusty one in vinegar for a day or two. Rub it with a scotchbrite pad, or steel wire brush once in a while, to help loosen the rust.

I have done this in other makes and race cars. Race cars much easier, of course. Chances are you will need to fabricate pieces to attach the sliders to the seat, and possibly another piece or two to attach the sliders to the floor pan. Just make sure you use the correct hardware. I default to Grade 8 nuts, bolts, and washers. I like simple, so I'd keep searching for stock parts, ebay, CL, etc..

Try Wedge seat brackets. I use them for my aftermarket seats, but they may do brackets and sliders for stock seats too. Good products and service.

Aarons Air - I have used Evaoprust with good success. I fill a small tub with it, let the parts sit for a day or two and then hit it with a wire wheel like you said. Time consuming but it works good. Bottom line, I'd rather find a cleaner set to start with.

rlem1977 - Grade 8 bolts all the way. I even picked up the correct weld-in floor reinforcement plates at Carlisle. Safety first...

tmaleck - Looked at Wedge, very similar to the ones I mentioned above like Scat/Procar or Corbeau. That site appears to be geared toward imports though, they don't list any '60s Mopar-specific stuff that I can see.

PG Classic parts out of Canada sells bracket seat track sets. I've read that they are thinner material than originals which I don't like. Guess if I was in a pinch and couldn't come up with anything after months of searching, I'd give them a shot.

Not doubting you, just didn't see anything specific. Are you using factory bucket seats or aftermarket seats? Do you have a picture of what the seat tracks look like in your Charger?

I am using aftermarket seats. When I called Wedge, they asked if I needed custom holes etc. I assumed from that question they could make stuff to order.
I like the way they are made, the brackets are purpose built out of angle angle iron welded together. Sliders are full ball bearings and latches on both sides. Price might also be an issue, the brackets and sliders were around $375 per seat, so stock may end up being cheaper.
