An interesting video of a CNC crankshaft being machined.

We make somewhere around 1000 cranks/hr for OEM markets, can't say much about it cause there's NDA blah blah blah stuff, but we make 'em for a couple companies.. one that starts with a D and rhymes with lodge and for another company that starts with F and rhymes with bored

It was pretty amazing the first time to see a CNC machine at work but after awhile, it becomes.....well, everyday work lol but I still enjoyed it but never made a crank. Anyone know what that one is for?

I did see;
IIRC, don't quote me;
It had an 8 bolt flywheel bolt pattern, like for a Hemi Flywheel,
not sure what kind of engine that crank is for, didn't pay that much attention,
might just be for demonstration purposes too

yeah boring as hell if your the guy standing & watching it everyday day in day out....

I build these now. Have been for the last 4 months and there is a lot to get these to spec. I just now started working on the DMG Mori DMU 50 5-axis machine and this thing takes weeks to put together.
