Would Like To Know if Anyone Has Ever Stuffed A Set of 2.75-60R-15 M/T ET Street Radials Under The Back Of A Stock 1965 Belvedere Or Satellite? I Know Alot of Chatter Has Gone On About Tire Subjects On This Board, But I Have A Set Of 15x8 Steel Cop Wheels I Want To Try And Put On The Rear Of My Plymouth. Bought Them From Summit And They Have A Policy Of Not Being Able To Return Tires That Have Been Mounted! So Alot Of This Has To Do With The Right Wheel Back Spacing. Anybody Familiar With This Set-Up? Car Is Not Tubbed Or Had The Springs Moved. Anyone Know The Right Backspaced Wheel I Need?

IIRC 64 and 65 Belvedere use the same wheelhouses. I have 15x8 Aluminum wheels with 4.5 inch backspace with 275-60-15 BFG Radial T/A on them and there is no issues at all. My buddy has a set of 15x8 cragar ss with 255-60-15 on his 65 hardtop with no issues. Both cars are as the factory built 'em. 65 Coronets I think have the smaller wheel houses.

I had 275/60 15 on the back of my '65 belvedere, not problems with fitment, and I had them on 7.5 inch wide Cop car rally wheels. Standard BS is 4.25 on these, I believe. I even had a 2" lowering block and only had rubbing on big dips in the road, but nothing that bothered me.
