Anyone familiar with TransGo Valve Body Mods??

Looking for someone to explain what this notch is for that TransGo says must be filed in the valve body at the manual valve? I figured it was for clearance or something - but after reassembly there's nothing to clear there. Possibly in low gear it vents fluid past the valve to outside the valve body? If so I don't think I have it filed deep enough.

Found it by looking up transgo kits, Cuba-challenger.com from 2007. The slot lets fluid bleed off in drive when using your new manual valve that u installed. I installed a transgo many yrs ago and don't remember changing the manual valve.

For some reason I couldn't pull up the thread. My computer is acting more stubborn than usual. That's strange since the valve cam doesn't peek past the notch in park or low - certainly not going to in drive. I wonder if they were just speculating? I may call the tech department on Monday and ask.

I was just googling on my phone for transgo 727 kit instructions & found the site. Has me baffled also,something different on ur new man.valve I guess.
