I have one of the new bendix 8 inch trapezoid brake boosters I bought from inline tube. The problems I am having are: 1. The backside where the brake linkage rod goes is larger than the firewall hole 2.41 vs. 2.04in.. 2. The firewall plate supplied does not fit flush on the firewall because it is too narrow. So I guess I'm asking if this setup is worth cutting my firewall to make it work? I have an original 68-70 booster i could have rebuilt but i have already invested almost 300 bucks on this china piece. Are these china boosters reliable? Or am i further ahead rebuilding the factory original that i wouldnt need to cut my firewall or original firewall plate?
Thanks for any inpuy you all may have.

I had a booster fail and sent it to Prior brakes in Texas to rebuild, that was ten years ago still working perfectly and it was inexpensive and fast turnaround.

Thanks guys, you saved me 300 bucks. I was thinking of buying one of those for the dual master cylinder and disk conversion on my 66.
